This stereoview is from a set consisting of 25 views of Japan taken by Swiss photographer Pierre Rossier for the firm Negretti and Zambra. It was taken in front of the residence in Kanagawa of Vice-Consul Captain Francis Howard Vyse. Both the residence and the Vice-Consul appear in the Ricardo album at the top of page 6, and again at the bottom of page 21.
